It’s what we’re all here for – preparing kids for a better future. The Francis Howell School District (FHSD) wants all students to be college and career ready when they graduate, and what better way to get them prepared for the workforce than to host a job fair for students. On Jan. 11, FHSD high school business departments will be hosting the first annual Job Fair for students at Francis Howell North High School, from 6-8 PM. Employers - and potential employees – are welcome.
Sometimes, all someone needs is to have a door opened for them. At the FHSD High School Job Fair, there will be plenty of opportunities – chances for both employers and employees to find the perfect match. The job fair is open to all high school students attending Francis Howell High, Francis Howell Central, Francis Howell North and Francis Howell Union. That’s a lot of human capital ready to work.
FHSD is still currently seeking employers in the St. Charles area that are interested in hiring students ages 16 and older for full-time, part-time, seasonal employment, internships, and/or volunteer opportunities. Businesses will be provided a six-foot-long table to display information and talk with students about potential employment opportunities. Each participating business should bring paper applications, if available, or website addresses to pass out if applications are accepted online. A designated area with tables and laptops will be available for students to complete applications. The students are prepared and expected to complete applications and participate in interviews, as requested, during the event. So it can all happen on one night – a better team for employers, and real-work experience for students.
