On Wednesday, March 29,
2017, the Francis Howell Central (FHC) High School student journalism program,
FHC Publications, will be hosting a Board of Education Candidate Forum. The
event will be held from 7:00 - 8:30 PM in the FHC Auditorium, located at 5199
Highway N in Cottleville.
The Forum will consist
of a two-minute opening statement from each candidate, followed by five
questions predetermined by FHC Publications. Candidates will have two minutes to
answer each question. After the question-and-answer session, there will be a
30-minute session for the audience to ask the candidates questions.
This event is an
opportunity for the public to learn more about the candidates running for the three
vacant positions on the Francis Howell Board of Education. The candidates for
the Board of Education (in ballot order) are: Patrick Lane, Rene Cope
(incumbent), Mary Lange, Mike Sommer (incumbent), and Stephen Johnson.
The event will be broadcast live by FHC Publications on www.fhctoday.com.
