Learnng Commons Equipment Available for Teacher Use:
The Learning Commons has some pretty amazing resources that are available for teachers to use with their classes. We thought now would be a good time to introduce you to several... See us if you are interested in any of these resources!
Sphero Sprk +
Sphero SPRK+ is a robot that is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and invention through connected play and coding. Powered by the Lightning Lab app, you can easily learn programming, complete hands-on activities, and share your creations with the community. We currently have a set of 8 available for classroom checkouts!
Ozobot Bit
Ozobot Bit is the world's smallest robot. The Ozobot uses a photo sensor array to recognize and respond to patterns, lights, colors and codes. This allows the user to advance from basic color coding to intermediate block-based programming using Ozoblockly. We now have a set of 4 available for classroom checkouts!
Production Studios
Our three production studios have everything you need for creating multimedia projects! Each studio has a green screen with access to lighting, microphones, tripods, iPads and iMac Desktops. We offer access to both iMovie and the easy to use Green Screen App. Need help getting started? We would love to work with our classes!
Breakout EDU Boxes
Did you know that Breakout Boxes are being used in classrooms all over the district? Wondering how you can bring them into your classroom? Are you stll trying to figure out what they are? Breakout EDU takes the appeal of the “escape room,” and turns it inside out. Instead of a locked room, teams must figure out how to get inside a tightly locked box. We are excited to announce that we have recently purchased 4 Breakout EDU boxes! (For more information about Breakout boxes see video below.)
