The Francis Howell School District is proud to announce that it has been selected as one of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Top Workplaces for the sixth consecutive year. FHSD ranked in the Top Workplace large business category, which is comprised of similarly-sized organizations and featured three other school districts.
“Francis Howell’s ranking as a Top Workplace once again speaks to the outstanding work and dedication of our talented team of teachers and staff,” said Superintendent Dr. Mary Hendricks-Harris. “Our staff works hard every day to provide the best educational experiences for the children of our community. Our District is a great place to learn, work, and live!”
All FHSD employees had the opportunity to take the confidential workplace survey earlier this spring, which measures how employees feel about their jobs on a daily basis. That includes how they feel about pay, benefits, managers, and company leadership. The survey also measures employee engagement, retention, and motivation. Over 1,600 responses were received over a three-week period from FHSD employees, a 68 percent response rate.

Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”
This year, 150 companies, nonprofit groups, and government agencies agreed to participate in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Top Workplaces confidential survey, conducted by Energage, an independent research company. The participants were from organizations that employ more than 65,000 people in the Greater St. Louis area; more than 44,000 responded to the confidential survey.
