First Impact: Preparing Drivers for the Road Ahead

If you have a teenager starting to drive soon, you have a chance to learn about how to help overcome the risks teen drivers face. FHSD’s Parent Speaker Series will host First Impact: Preparing Drivers for the Road Ahead on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at the FHSD Administration Building located at 4545 Central School Road in St. Charles.

First Impact is a traffic safety program that educates parents about Missouri’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) law, as well as provides them with the tools necessary to monitor, coach, and support their new teen driver. The program features a video and discussion to promote the importance of parents and teens working together to reduce teen crashes, injuries, and fatalities. Ensuring parents understand the risks and responsibilities associated with driving is essential in preventing teen driving tragedies. The program will be presented by trained GDL facilitators Sergeant Tom Mozelewski, St. Peters Police Department and Mark Hollander, Vision St. Charles County. They will share key facts and proven strategies to help parents lower their teens’ crash risk by utilizing the Missouri GDL law.

The Parent Speaker Series is free to attend, but we ask that you RSVP so we can accommodate all attendees. This is a districtwide event, open to all FHSD families. Click here to register.
