FHSD Bus Transportation Update
Posted on 08/01/2019
The FHSD Transportation Department wants to take this opportunity to remind our parents about some of the changes with our new Francis Howell buses. New routing software will assign pick up/drop off locations for students that comply with the state guidelines. This includes ensuring that bus stops are at least 500 ft. apart, the minimum recommended distance to activate warning lights. This year we are creating more neighborhood bus stops instead of specific house stops. This also means FHSD buses may not be traveling up and down every street in every neighborhood, especially for secondary students. In order to make our routes as efficient as possible, we are encouraging parents to inform their school office if they do not need school bus transportation.  Read more about FHSD Bus Transportation Update

We never stop working to ensure that our students receive a top-notch education during the school year.”  Read more about What Happens in FHSD Over the Summer

National Signing Day is a proud moment each year for many student-athletes in FHSD. It is a day to celebrate their successes and hard work throughout high school. Most importantly, it is a day where these students are able to sign a commitment to continue their academic and athletic careers in college. FHN senior Kamryn Bell was one of 23 students that signed a National Letter of Intent on Feb. 6. “I’m really excited. This is a big step forward,” said Bell. “I’m very thankful that I had the opportunity to play a sport at FHN. FHSD Named to Ninth Annual AP District Honor Roll

FHHS Trainer Cody Elmendorf Donates Kidney to Aunt
Posted on 08/22/2018
FHHS athletic trainer Cody Elmendorf is more than just a hero to student-athletes on the field, he’s also a hero to his family, as well. He recently performed a great act of selflessness when he donated one of his kidneys to an aunt in need. In 2009, Cody lost one of his aunts to a hereditary condition called polycystic renal disease, in which cysts grow on the kidneys and lead to the deterioration of the organ. This tragic experience led his other aunt, Mary Beth Stegall, to go in for her own examination, where she discovered that she also had the disease. As a result, Stegall had to have both of her kidneys removed, and was required to undergo dialysis three times a week for four hours each day.   Read more about FHHS Trainer Cody Elmendorf Donates Kidney to Aunt
