On Nov. 13, fourteen high school students across FHSD took a seat in front of family and friends and signed their National Letters of Intent. These students committed to continue their academic and athletic careers in college. While FHC senior, Kayla Steinmeyer, has a lot to look forward to as she prepares to play volleyball at Ouachita Baptist University next year, she is grateful for her experience at FHC. “Playing sports here has probably been one of the most memorable things for me. It’s kind of like a second family,” said Steinmeyer. “They have taught all of us to go with our gut and remember that if you put your mind to it, you can do anything.” The 2019 signees from all three schools have certainly proved that statement to be true and have bright futures ahead of them.
Congratulations to each of the FHSD student-athletes and good luck next year!
