The Francis Howell School District has been named to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Top Workplaces list for the seventh time in the past eight years. The District was tenth among the top 15 large employers (employers with 500 or more employees) in the St. Louis area.
“It is my honor to lead alongside our Board, teachers, staff, parents, and students to earn this recognition,” said Superintendent Dr. Nathan Hoven. “Earning this award is a tribute to the work we do every day to empower students to be lifelong learners. Thank you to every member of our talented staff for their contributions to our mission and for the feedback that made this recognition possible.”
The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey that measures several aspects of workplace culture, including how employees feel about pay, benefits, managers, and leadership. The anonymous survey also measures employee engagement, retention, and motivation. More than 1,900 FHSD staff members representing 71% of District employees responded to the survey in March and took the time to provide their valuable feedback.
Only those employers that scored the highest locally and met national benchmarks made the list. The Post-Dispatch used the data gathered in the surveys to produce a special section that included profiles of the best local employers and other stories exploring how great companies inspire their workforces to excellence.
The research partner behind the Top Workplaces program, Energage, LLC has surveyed more than 45,000 organizations representing well over 16 million employees in the United States since the start of the program in 2006.
